Replacing the animals images with texts probably only changed the way the viewer would think about the work slightly. The images would lay bare the animal and the particular image, in this case the staring animal would evoke a certain type of reading whereas the text leaves the consideration of the animal open ended. Meaning, the viewers own interpretation of the animal will be used in the work instead and give the viewer more room to work with the meaning of the work
